Zeemanskerkendienst
Ook dit jaar vieren we Hervormingsdag in een feestelijke dienst met de Zeemanskerken van Rotterdam. Dit is een gezamenlijke dienst met alle Rotterdamse kerken die behoren tot de lutherse traditie: de Deense, Duitse, Finse, Noorse en Zweedse kerken van Rotterdam en de Lutherse Gemeente die samenkomt in de Andreaskerk. We vieren dit op zondag 25 oktober, de zondag van de Kerkhervorming.
Dit jaar herdenken we dat Martin Luther 500 jaar geleden zijn 'Deutsche Messe und Ordnung des Gottesdienstes' ('Duitse mis en orde van de eredienst') publiceerde. Met deze liturgie wilde hij de mis zuiveren van misbruiken en het Woord van God in hun moedertaal dichtbij de mensen brengen.
Na afloop van de dienst is er koffie of thee met appeltaart.
Veeltalig en muzikaal
Het wordt een veeltalige en muzikale kerkdienst. De schriftlezing is meestal volgens het Duitse rooster, het Avondmaal wordt volgens de liturgie van een van de Zeemanskerken gevierd. De liederen worden in allerlei talen gezongen. Een projectkoor zal internationale Lutherse kerkmuziek ten gehore brengen, zoals 'Een vaste burcht is onze God' van Martin Luther en het zeemanslied 'Eternal Father, Strong to Save!'
Na de dienst bent u van harte welkom voor een kopje koffie of thee met iets lekkers.
Let op: de Zeemanskerkendienst begint om 11 uur - en deze zondag begint ook de wintertijd.
Reformation Service
Every year we celebrate the Reformation Service together with the Seamen's Churches of Rotterdam. This Reformation Anniversary is a service together with the German, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish churches of Rotterdam and the Lutheran Andreas Church. We celebrate this service every year on Reformation Sunday, the sunday before 31 October. This year: Sunday 25 October.
This year, we commemorate the fact that, 500 years ago, Martin Luther published his “Deutsche Messe und Ordnung des Gottesdienstes” (“German Mass and Order of Worship). With this order of service, he sought to purify the Mass of abuses and bring the Word of God close to people in their mother tongue.
After the service there will be coffee or tea with apple pie.
Multi-lingual
The lessons in this service are usually from the German lectionary. During the multilingual service there is a lot of international Lutheran church music, like 'A Mighty Fortress Is Our God' and 'Eternal Father, Strong to Save'. We will celebrate together the Holy Communion following the rite of one of the Seamen's Churches.
After the service you can get coffee or tea and usually apple pie or Norwegian waffles. Welcome!
